Smith's Longspur - Rockford, Ohio - April 2009 Another great rare bird for Ohio! There were about 20 mixed in with Horned Larks and Lapland Longspurs. Somehow these were blown off course on their migration to the northern most parts of Canada.

on May 22, 2009Maybe nobody told you, but photographs of super-rare birds, such as this longspur and the mountain bluebird in the next shot, are supposed to be documentary in nature and very grainy, blurry, etc. Your shots make it seem as though these are regular visitors!
